The company guarantees to quote in under 48 hours and will assemble PCBs within five days of materials procurement. The service is available for low run production volumes as well as prototyping activities and is not limited to basic single-sided PCB technology; complex multi-layer PCB assemblies can also be accommodated.

Worcester, UK - July 2014: AWS, one of Europe’s leading specialist contract electronics manufacturers, has announced that it has just taken on a new intake of apprentices at its newly-expanded and upgraded Newcastle-under-Lyme manufacturing facility. Two new apprentices have just started the four year course, which is being run by the company in partnership with Newcastle-under-Lyme Technical College.

Last year the company took on three engineering apprentices and one office apprentice. On completion of the training, the engineering apprentices can choose to further their training by doing a Bachelor of Technology (B-Tech) degree in Manufacturing or Electronics.

Mraz is responsible for driving worldwide business for the Group as the company sees increased demand for its services from existing and new customers seeking to access its cost-competitive manufacturing facilities in Slovakia. Mraz is an experienced EMS business development director who has worked in both the global and in-country EMS base. A Slovak national, Mraz has had business training in the UK and speaks fluent English, German and Russian.
